Interested in donating your time and effort to the American Friends of Jamaica?

The purpose of the volunteer program is to widen the AFJ’s impact in communities across Jamaica. Volunteers are needed to support fundraising and networking events. Volunteers are also invited to join the AFJ Board of Directors during annual grantee site visits in Jamaica.

The program offers opportunities for individuals interested in supporting our work.

An interview is held with each prospective volunteer to determine compatibility, expectations and a mutually acceptable assignment.

University students can earn credits for participating in internship and volunteer opportunities with the AFJ and are presented with professional references and recognition at the end of their tenure.
