The purpose of the volunteer program is to widen the AFJ’s impact in communities across Jamaica. Volunteers are needed to support fundraising and networking events. Volunteers are also invited to join the AFJ Board of Directors during annual grantee site visits in Jamaica.
Virtual volunteer opportunities are available; some roles include:
Organizing Committee (New York or Miami)
Gala Support (New York or Miami)
Auction Item Solicitation
Fundraising
Corporate Partnership Outreach
Marketing/PR/Social Media
Site Visit Coordination
An interview is held with each prospective volunteer to determine compatibility, expectations and a mutually acceptable assignment.
University students can earn credits for participating in internship and volunteer opportunities with the AFJ and are presented with professional references and recognition at the end of their tenure.
