Transforming Jamaica into a STEM Island through partnerships
Established in 1836, The Mico University College in Kingston, Jamaica, is the oldest teacher-training institution in the Western Hemisphere. Many alumni from the Mico are prominent educators in major markets across the world like New York.
60% of the students in New York are English speaking of Caribbean descent. The Mico, Ministry of Education, and 21stCentEd have crafted a culturally immersive conference that will be and educational get-away that strengthens the bonds of global collaboration.
Proceeds from this conference will go toward teacher development and STEM experiences in Jamaica.
