Project STAR is a 5-year social and economic development initiative driven by communities to bring about societal transformation through targeted interventions in under-resourced areas of Jamaica. We will target 10 communities over the project's life.
Support This CauseProject STAR collaborates with communities, ensuring needs and solutions are identified and implemented by the communities themselves. We work with partners – government agencies, NGOs, CBOs, private sector, and diaspora – to connect communities with resources agreed upon during consultations processes. Donations fund the pillar of social inclusion through the creation of safer communities, improvements in education with after-school activities, life skills, and mentorship. Family and social well-being are enhanced through parenting workshops. Funds also facilitate economic transformation by boosting the capacity for job creation, entrepreneurship, and investments at the community level, providing training in hard/soft skills and financial inclusion for micro enterprises.
