Museum of Jamaican Ancestral Heritage (MOJAH) Ltd.

MOJAH will use Jamaica’s heritage as the conveyor to spark, inspire young people, their parents, and teachers to develop more interest in preserving their heritage, protecting their environment, and elevating their creative expressions. Through thoughtful, accessible research-based programs and discovery initiatives, our mobile unit will travel across Jamaica, bringing modern interactive experiences to schools and communities in every parish, making heritage accessible to all.

Jamaica has a powerful story to tell. With the help of museum experts, educators, creatives and storytellers we will use the rich platform of our heritage to delve into our core subject matter : “out of many one people”, arts (music, art, craft, literature, poetry, photography, film) , food, multiculturalism /traditions/folklore, heroic changemakers, sports, environment/conservation – collaborating with existing curriculums. Young people will explore the meaning of “Jamaica a fi mi”.
