Kevin was a loving husband and loyal friend with a brilliant mind and a kind, gentle heart. His lifelong passion for learning can be seen in his pursuit of higher education, constant reading of non-fiction and interest in travel to all parts of the world. Kevin also had a love for the culture and people of his home, Jamaica.
DonateKevin Wright was a man of strong character, brilliant and driven with an optimistic outlook on life. He was a loving husband and loyal friend, with a kind and gentle spirit. Kevin was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. He attended St. Andrew Preparatory School, completed high school at Campion College, and then earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from UWI, St. Augustine. After working as a civil engineer, he went to the US to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Financial Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He then pursued a career in commercial real estate finance, working both on Wall Street and as an independent consultant. Kevin and his wife lived in Kingston, Jamaica for the past eight years.
Kevin was a scholar and a voracious reader who highly valued continuous learning. He was an adventurous traveler with a passion for experiencing new cultures and places. Kevin also had a special place in his heart for the people of Jamaica and cared deeply about creating opportunity and improving the lives of all Jamaicans. Kevin died unexpectedly in May 2019 at the young age of 43, and is deeply missed by his family and friends.
