Job Description – Operations Manager
Summary
The Operations Manager will partner with the Executive Director to implement the organization’s strategy ranging from operations, managing personnel, overseeing programming, and executing the marketing plan.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, oversee, manage, coach, galvanize and work closely with a small team of coop/intern and admin in support of the organization’s goals.
- Create all communications, social media content, collateral, event materials and annual report.
- Lead and oversee the process of review and revision of donor advised fund (DAF) agreements, pledge reminders, and the ongoing process of gift acknowledgements.
- Report programs progress and initiatives to senior leadership regularly.
- Manage Scholarship portfolio w/education institutions and benefactors and provide reports.
- Manage and oversee all prospect updates in CRM.
- Review, cross-check and report on outcomes from Gala and cultivation activities.
- Enhance brand and grantees on the website; e.g. Choose A Cause.
- Work with external resource to development event concepts, materials and collateral.
- Work with Event Planner to coordinate logistics and full implementation of annual Galas.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a nonprofit development role.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Experience using various communication platforms including MailChimp, Facebook, Instagram.
- Experience utilizing the CRM Neon or experience with other nonprofit CRM systems.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- A high degree of resourcefulness and initiative.
